First Kicks ages from 4-6yrs, these sessions are held on Monday nights

Junior / Youth - ages 7- 17yrs  

Seniors - 19th grade & up. 

 

We had 21 teams in the junior ranks in 2018 - which included 4 all girls' teams, of which our 11th grade girls' team won their championship for their respective division. 

We also had 9 senior teams, which included 3 ladies teams.

 

So keep these dates in mind, look out for the registration signs or register via the website & we'd look forward to seeing as many kids - boy's & girl's, ladies & gents playing soccer next year.

First Team Coaching Appointment 2019

 

The club are excited to announce the appointment of Geoff Cooper and Jason Heather as first team coaches for 2019. Geoff returns to OMU where he previously played and coached so is familiar with the surroundings. For Jason this his first experience at the club and we welcome both gentlemen to the club and wish them well for the season.

The club would like to thank Brian, Dave and Malcolm for taking on the job last season of winning the playoff game and maintaining OMU's position in NRFL Division 2 and wish all three the very best in the future.

Preseason training/trialling will commence Jan 31st up Mangere Domain 1 (6.30 start).

Summer Mixed Soccer

Onehunga Mangere United AFC will be running their mixed 7 aside summer football social competition on Mangere Domain on a Wednesday evening.

This comprises of 30 minute games played from 6.00pm to 8.00pm on a Wednesday evening on 3 pitches marked out on the Mangere Domain fields, limited to 24 teams.

A grading round is played from October 31st to December 19th (there will be a save date of 23 January to play a catch up round if required) followed by a competition round commencing on 30th January where the winners of each group will be determined (there will be a save date of 13th March to play a catch up round if required). The final round of fixtures will be played on Sunday 17th March followed by prize giving in the clubroom.

Early registration is recommended.

Entry:

  • There is one playing night, Wednesday evenings from 6.00pm each evening during the season
  • Team Entry Fee $400.00.
  • This is a social mixed competition
  • To enter, complete all parts of the entry form and return with payment at least 1 week before the commencement of the season, first in first served, you will be sent confirmation of you entry.

The club announce a new relationship in the football community with Friends of Football.

Friends of Football is an independent group of people with a common interest in sharing their love of the ‘beautiful game’ and its rich and proud history as the globe’s most popular team sport.

They’re passionate about protecting and promoting the positive aspects of the game to others — young and old — and the benefits it provides to the wider community.
